Today, we went to Road Safety Park at East Coast. Some of our classmates were chosen to be marshalls, cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians. Each student was given a sheet of paper to complete tasks. The place was a simulated area where students get to learn about road safety rules. This is important so that when you grow up, you will practise road safety. Roads are dangerous for all users - it does not matter whether you are a pedestrian, a driver, a cyclist. There is always a possiblity of getting hurt. Hence, we need to always be alert while on the road, even on pavements. Look out for oncoming traffic. Raise your hand while crossing roads as some motorists may not be able to see you.
I hope all of you enjoyed yourselves and learnt something new today.
